Dream big. That’s the idea behind Liberty Hill ISD’s latest push for more innovative education. The recently created “education foundation” will pave the way for teachers to do more in their classrooms than ever before.
Liberty Hill currently has an incredible community of support as well as a recently passed House Bill that increased state revenue, but the school district wants to aim higher. The focus of the foundation will be to establish fundraising efforts that feed into grant programs for teachers to take advantage of for their classrooms. While the district already puts every dollar they can into improving education programs, costs of technology and the latest training continue to rise. The education foundation’s mission will be to supplement what they have, take their education to the next level, and give teacher’s the ability to dream big for their students.
The first step of this new foundation is for the established steering committee to develop an infrastructure of bylaws, events, and expand the foundation itself. They will be recruiting board members and committee members to help push the progress along.
Liberty Hill ISD offers a grade A rating for its district’s students with a pre-kindergarten through the 12th-grade program. The foundation will allow teachers at every level to apply for funds to help bolster the highly-rated education system and help innovate their methods for better-prepared students entering college or trades.
